He has supported more than 40 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—with a strong emphasis on women-led and climate-resilient ventures—through capital mobilization, technical assistance, and innovative financial structuring.

He brings a solid foundation in financial analysis, financial systems, and internal controls, having led due diligence, risk assessments, and performance monitoring across complex investment portfolios. Benson has played a key role in shaping transformative financing instruments, including Kenya’s Credit Guarantee Scheme, national credit scoring frameworks, the AfDB YouthAdapt Facility, and green finance initiatives under FSD Kenya. As a former portfolio manager, strategy lead, and technical assistance advisor for climate-smart enterprises, he brings deep expertise in project de-risking, investor engagement, and fund governance.
